Purecontrol settles in Liège, Belgium, and goes there... by bike from its headquarters in Rennes

Seven months after its second fundraising, Purecontrol confirms its growth objectives in Europe with an installation at La Grand Poste in Liège, Belgium.

The opening of this office will make it possible to continue the marketing of artificial intelligence solution on the water market and in various industrial sectors committed to energy saving and decarbonization goals.

The Belgian branch was created with a team of three employees. And to launch this new phase of development in a unique, collective and committed way, the entire company and its partners are mobilizing to support the 12 employees who will connect Rennes and Liège (750 km) by bike, from 10 to 14 December 2023.

By completing its second round of funding last May, Purecontrol was preparing for its international development. It is now launched with an installation in Liège of three employees who are leaving the Rennes headquarters to open a Belgian office, in the emblematic space of La Grand Poste.

With its AI-based solutions that ensure the real-time management of industrial automation, the objective is to continue its development with water actors and to deploy its intelligent analysis and management solutions to manufacturers in other sectors.

” This Belgian antenna will open us up to the North European market where companies are very sensitive to the ecological transition solutions of industrial processes that we offer. These new use cases will enrich our R&D. We benefit from the support of the Belgian investment fund Noshaq, which facilitates our installation in Liège and integration into the local ecosystem. Connections are being made quickly with the University, which is very advanced in AI. We are going to work together on concrete cases with students. For us, it is also an important talent pool for our future recruitments.

We will also recruit developers for the evolution of our web platform, which will be managed in Liège. This Belgian branch will therefore carry out very structuring projects for the company.

The team in charge of this deployment is composed of three very complementary profiles, including an Intelligence engineer. Artificial, a process automation engineer and an Operations Manager.” explains Geoffroy Maillard, CEO of Purecontrol.

A collective, sporty and committed challenge

To mark the start of this new adventure for Purecontrol, 12 employees set themselves the challenge of cycling the 750 kilometers that separate them from Liège, or about 150 km per day for 5 days. The two co-founders are part of the journey. The departure will be on Sunday December 10 from Rennes for an arrival in Liège on Thursday December 14 around 6 pm at La Grand Poste, a coworking space dedicated to creative businesses and entrepreneurs in the new economy where Purecontrol is setting up. They will be welcomed in particular by the teams from La Grand Poste and Noshaq.

“This idea of a sports challenge, launched internally, found an immediate response because it embodies our corporate culture. The choice of cycling was a natural choice since soft mobility is part of daily practices at Purecontrol where 90% of employees use this means of transport on a daily basis. The company has also just obtained the Mobil'label (OR category) awarded by Rennes Métropole to reward the most proactive mobility plans of local employers. Travelling 150 kilometers per day for 5 days requires endurance and team spirit, but helping each other and putting your particular skills at the service of the collective is what characterizes us. Opening new offices represents a new challenge for Purecontrol, which the whole team intends to take up collectively. This team cohesion motivates us and pushes us to succeed.” explains Gautier Avril, CTO and co-founder of Purecontrol.

At Purecontrol, sport is part of the DNA. The 12 volunteer participants are all seasoned athletes who are preparing for this challenge, supported by the ultra-trailer Xavier Thévenard, supported by the company for several months. He will provide his preparation advice throughout this test.

The challenge will be monitored on a daily basis, internally, thanks to the support team who will follow the runners, film and broadcast regular information points on social networks.

The arrival will be festive with a welcome drink organized at La Grand Poste, 19 Quai sur Meuse, at 6 p.m., to celebrate the end of the journey after the 750 km covered in the middle of winter and to meet the two co-founders.
