LACROIX and Purecontrol announce a commercial and technological partnership in the field of wastewater management

LACROIX, European leader in connected and secure solutions for the management of water and energy networks, and PURECONTROL, a specialist in the real-time management of industrial automation using Artificial Intelligence, announce a partnership focused on the segment of dynamic management of lift stations (*).

In a context of climate change, public authorities and private operators must deal with increasingly extreme weather events. In addition, the challenges of reducing CO2 emissions require objectives to reduce energy consumption.

A complementary positioning for a modular and even more effective response in the field of wastewater.

LACROIX designs and manufactures local remote management stations (SOFREL S4W) ensuring the local and secure control of lift stations in charge of transporting wastewater to a treatment plant. LACROIX SOFREL S4W local stations are now widely deployed by water network operators in France and Europe who appreciate the ease of implementation as well as the level of cybersecurity.

PURECONTROL offers a unique software solution that, connected to SOFREL S4W local stations, relies on artificial intelligence (AI) to offer operators control of structures, and thus further reduce environmental, operational and energy costs. A proven solution in the wastewater treatment sector in which PURECONTROL already supports many operators.

The two companies have come together in recent months to validate the interoperability between S4W local workstations and the PURECONTROL software solution which, interconnected to LACROIX equipment, implements dynamic and adaptive control of lift stations, capable of changing from a “dry weather” mode, with the objective of reducing energy consumption, to a “rainy weather” mode whose priority will be to limit overflows.

PURECONTROL's AI algorithms take into account weather forecasts and, in the event of a rainy event, activate pumping in advance, prioritize pumping at the most risky stations, taking into account the overall behavior of the network. Results: an average saving of 10% on the energy bill and a reduction in overflows of 20% to 70% depending on the meteorological intensity.

The combination of LACROIX and PURECONTROL offers will make it possible to provide a solution at the best level on the market, contributing to the preservation of the environment.
